Life's detours without delays offer relief that tomorrow is a brand new day,
But leave me wary about the forces of my own nature,
And how they may or may not come into play.
The path may meander, but it never seems to go astray
And that has to count for something, right?
The destination keeps stretching, so this journey has become ride towards what I've realized is the source of the earth's ever-coming tide.
It's in rhythm with the flame burning inside my heart.
As I'm learning more and more to let go and use it to bring art to human life,
Something else takes control and shows me the way to satisfy that yearning to explore new heights,
Teaching me what it really means to have faith and look alive.
