The Illusion of Perfection

We are broken, but not fragmented.
Stagnant maybe,
But we always remain open to at least connect with something more,
Something cosmic.
Our attachment to these objects of our desire puts a limitation on our satisfaction,
Jading our interactions into a game of tug-of-war with a short rope,
But the hope for something new still inspires me...
A different point of view.
Reaching for something higher without expectation,
I swear we are on the verge of a breakthrough!
I can see it on the horizon,
It's so exciting.
And I can feel it too, rising like the sun.
If we can tame our primal urges and encourage a change of direction
We can manifest it to come.
With the pride of a lion, we must stay humble
And know that perfection is only an illusion to some.
